Safer Internet Day Kahoot Quiz

We created a quiz about Safer Internet Day using Kahoot. The quiz consisted of 15 questions. Our students had fun while learning something about Safer Internet Day. Here is the link:

           Firstly, my students made a google search and saved different pictures about 'Safer Internet Day.' Then, they used Jigsaw Planet and created their puzzles.

           We made a vocabulary list about 'safer internet' and then they used these words in Word Art to create their word clouds.

Safer Internet Day-Dijital Board

 Salut dear friends, 

We are in the middle of February and it was Safer Internet Day on 9th February. We really enjoyed celebrating this important day even though it was celebrated online. If we were at school and if we were to celebrate SID, we would probably prepare a board and pin our works on it, like passages or poems or drawings etc. So we decided to make it online. A dijital board. 

We made a list of tasks and distributed all of them among my project students. Some of them created wordarts, posters and mindmaps while others made cartoons, quizzes and jigsaws. They really did a great job. Here is the link to our dijital board:

Creating avatars and introducing ourselves

 Hi there! 

It's February and we are on our way. My students have learnt how to use Pixton to create an avatar for themselves, which was a very fun activity. 

They not only created their avatars but also created cartoons. I really had fun while reading them. I made a video with one of the cartoons which I liked very much. You can read it here if you want.

All of our students attended our pre assessment survey and gave information about their attitude towards our project. According to this survey;

• 62% of our students haven't heard about web 2.0 tools.
• 92,5% of our students thinks that English is a world language.
• 31,3% of our students do not use English except lessons.
• 26,9% of our students do not know eSafety rules.

 Introducing Ourselves

My students introduced themselves using pixton to create their avatars and chatterpix to give informaton. We have created our digital classroom usin Pixton Web 2.0 tool.

Safer Internet 2021 Calendar

My students prepared their monthly calendar via Canva. Then we put together them and made flipbook via Flipsnack. Our main theme is "Safer Internet".

Safer Internet Day is an international event taking place in February every year. On the 9th of February this year, we will celebrate the 18th edition of this day under the slogan "Together for a better internet".
